Judicial Review of National Policy Statement – Transcript of the presentation of Neil Spurrier.
I just pray that Grayling – or the lawyers representing the DfT and Theresa May, for it was she who backed Heathrow expansion in her vote-losing 2017 election manifsto and imposed a three-line whip when expansion was discussed in Parliament – will not stand up in court and smuggly intone that residents will “enjoy predictable periods of respite” while failing to state that this respite will be a fraction of what we are currently pkermitted.
If Grayling has the temerity to claim that “planes are getting guieter” perhaps someone will remind him that at the public meeting organised in Putney by Justine Greening on Feb. 20, Heathrow’s Director of Sustainability was drowned out by the noise of planes droning overhead.
I will definitely be on the pavement on 13 March, and hoping to escape for Neil Spurrier, FoE and Plan B on (some of the) other days. Bridget / Plane Hell Action
